Vail, Colorado boasts the unapologetic tagline of “Like Nothing on Earth,” and I have to agree. Vail is my home away from home and can always be counted on for a fantastic escape from all of life’s worries. I grew up going to Vail almost every winter and summer, effectively serving as our US base when we lived in Singapore. Today, I usually visit 2-3 times a year, and you can often find me kicking and screaming on my way out. While Vail is well known for its best-in-class ski resort, there are a ton of activities and experiences to be had – both in winter and summer.
Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, and while most of us will celebrate with a taco and a margarita, the origins of this holiday are honorable and remarkable. On May 5, 1862, the Mexican Army successfully defeated the French forces at the Battle of Puebla. I had the opportunity to visit Puebla, Mexico, and learned all about the history and significance of this day.
